Finance and Business Operations Committee Meets

 The committee will discuss the Stark Loan Fund and continue discussions related to maintenance fee and tuition rate proposals. The full Tennessee Board of Regents will vote on any tuition and fee recommendations at its June 21 quarterly meeting at Walters State Community College in Morristown.

The meeting is open to the public and the press as listeners. Robert ThomasRobert "Bobby" Thomas is an attorney whose practice is primarily concentrated in general corporate affairs and governmentalrelations. He serves as general counsel to several of the firm's corporate clients and has practiced law for the past 35 years.

Prior to that, Thomas was an instructor of history at Middle Tennessee State University from 1965-1967. He currently serves on the Tennessee State Museum Foundation Board and is Vice Chairman of the Tennessee Residence Preservation Trust, an agency chaired by First Lady Andrea Conte that is responsible for restoring the Governor's residence. He is a member of the Nashville and American Bar Associations and is former chairman of the Metropolitan Nashville Davidson County Board of Health; the Board of Directors of the St. Thomas Hospital Foundation; and the Tennessee Democratic Party. Thomas is a former member of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority and of the Nashville Convention Center Commission.

Thomas holds a bachelor's degree in political science, a master's degree in history and a doctor of jurisprudence degree, all from Vanderbilt University.
