In response to today’s vote in the House of Representatives to approve a two-year delay in the Common Core State Standards and related Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) test, Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan has issued the following statement:"We are very disappointed in this first step taken to undo the meaningful reforms initiated with the State’s 'First to the Top' efforts. TBR Meets Jan. 24 to Consider Search Criteria for APSU President       NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 16, 2014) —The Tennessee Board of Regents will hold a called meeting Friday, Jan. 24, to consider the position criteria for the next president of Austin Peay State University. The special telephonic meeting will begin at 10 a.m. CST. APSU President Tim Hall recently announced his decision to leave the university at the end of the spring semester to become president of Mercy College in New York.
