Four Finalists Selected in Search for APSU President NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 18, 2014) — The search advisory committee for a new president of Austin Peay State University has met and narrowed the candidate pool to four finalists. They are:

Bradley Cook, provost and executive vice president and professor of history at Southern Utah University;
Jerome Gilbert, provost and executive vice president at Mississippi State University;

Governor proclaims Graduate Education Week March 31 – April 4 Graduate education attracts more than 45,000 students to Tennessee’s universities each year from around the world. More than 14,500 graduate student degrees are awarded each year, contributing to the state’s economic growth and stability. To recognize and honor the strengths and contributions of graduate students and their scholarly activities across the state, Governor Bill Haslam has signed a proclamation declaring March 31 through April 4, 2014, as Graduate Education Week in Tennessee.

(Jan. 16, 2014) —The Tennessee Board of Regents will hold a called meeting Friday, Jan. 24, to consider the position criteria for the next president of Austin Peay State University. The special telephonic meeting will begin at 10 a.m. CST. APSU President Tim Hall recently announced his decision to leave the university at the end of the spring semester to become president of Mercy College in New York. The position criteria will be used in the advertising and search for the university’s next president.
