Campus feedback to the TBR System Office and our plans to improve
Late last fall and earlier this year we invited you to participate in a performance review of the TBR System Office. This study was the first time we have asked for feedback from our campuses to identify issues that are important to you and to assess how well we are meeting your expectations.
You are among the more than 700 faculty, staff and students who were invited to participate in the assessment process in some way. About 250 took part in a focus group, and 329 of you responded to a survey. Because we don’t know who responded, I’m sending this to everyone who was invited. Even if you didn’t participate, I hope you’ll be interested to hear about the results.
The responses provided us with valuable insight about what we’re doing right and what we can do better. The feedback was helpful, telling, reassuring and enlightening at the same time. I’m happy to say the results were positive in general, but they also identified several areas for improvement.
We are committed to using the results to enhance our work and our service to you. As the report indicates, “Setting a higher standard means improving good areas to greater heights and not limiting efforts to merely the most negative areas.”
Our first step in the process is letting you know the results of the assessment and how we plan to use it to improve our performance. Provided here is a summary of the report and each unit’s plan to use the information to improve upon what we do.
Please share this information with anyone who may be interested. Thanks again for your help.
Sincerely,
John G. Morgan
