Tennessee Board of Regents to meet Oct. 31 to consider criteria for next president of TCAT Memphis

The Tennessee Board of Regents will hold a special called meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12, to consider institutional compensation proposals for 10 colleges and faculty emeritus designations for five retired faculty members. The board’s committee chairs and Audit Committee will meet after the full board's session.

The Board of Regents governs Tennessee's Community Colleges and Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs).

The board’s special called meeting will convene at 8:30 a.m. CT/9:30 a.m. ET. Chairs of the board’s standing committees will meet immediately after the special meeting adjourns, and the Audit Committee will meet after the committee chairs adjourn. The meetings will be held by teleconferencing via Microsoft Teams and will be live streamed and archived on the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/board/november-2024-special-called-board-meeting-committee-chairs-and-audit-committee-meetings, except for a portion of the Audit Committee meeting required by state law to be confidential.

The committee chairs meeting is informational, with no votes or official action. The committee chairs agenda includes but is not limited to: review of two proposed new TBR policies and five proposed policy revisions that will be considered by the full board at its Dec. 10 regular quarterly meeting; reports on finance and business operations and external affairs, and a review of the December board agenda.

The Audit Committee session is a regular business meeting, with both informational reports and action items on the agenda, detailed in the meeting link above. The agenda includes but is not limited to: Fiscal Year 2025 first quarter audit highlights; System-wide Internal Audit updates; review of salaries and budgets for internal audit; revised internal audit plans for FY 2025; review of internal audit charters, and review of salaries and staffing for the TBR Office of System-wide Internal Audit.
