Board of Regents quarterly meeting is Dec. 10 at TBR system office in Nashville
The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), which governs the state’s public community colleges and colleges of applied technology, will hold its next regular quarterly meeting Dec. 10, 2024, at the TBR system office in Nashville.
The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. CT, Tuesday in the ground floor boardroom of the TBR system office at 1 Bridgestone Park, Nashville, TN, 37214. The meeting is open and will be live-streamed and archived on the board meeting page of the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/board/december-2024-quarterly-board-meeting. The agenda includes, but is not limited to:
- Reports and updates on enrollment and student success trends at the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs); planning for the board’s next 10-year strategic plan; activities of the recently restructured Office of Student Success and Strategic Partnerships; redesigning the Maxine Smith Leadership Series, and the chancellor’s report of actions since the last quarterly board meeting.
- Review of the annual fundraising report of the Foundation for the College System of Tennessee, including fundraising totals by the foundation and the community colleges, and the bi-annual Board Assessment report, required by the system’s accrediting agency, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
- Consideration of two proposed new board policies and proposed revisions to five existing policies; new career and technical training program implementations, terminations and modifications at the TCATs; proposed revisions to the system’s Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget; the report by the TBR Audit Committee’s Nov. 12 meeting, and a proposal by Motlow State Community College to name the college’s McMinnville campus building in honor of the late state Senator Jerry W. Cooper.
