The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), which governs the state’s public community colleges and colleges of applied technology, will hold its next regular quarterly meeting Feb. 26, 2025. The agenda includes a presentation of staff recommendations for tuition and fees for Academic Year 2025-26, which the board will consider during a special called meeting March 27.
The Feb. 26 meeting will start at 1 p.m. CT in the ground floor boardroom of the TBR system office, 1 Bridgestone Park, Nashville, TN, 37214. The meeting is open and will be live-streamed and archived on the board meeting page of the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/board/february-2025-quarterly-board-meeting. The agenda includes, but is not limited to:
- An informational presentation by TBR finance staff on their recommendations for tuition and fees for the 2025-26 academic year. The board will consider acting on the tuition and fee recommendations in a special called meeting scheduled for March 27. If approved, the new rates become effective July 1.
- Review and consideration of proposed revisions to the TBR General Travel Policy, a faculty emerita recommendation, and proposed new programs and other program changes at the colleges of applied technology that will enable them to be more responsive to the needs of students, business and industry.
- Other informational reporting and updates on state legislation potentially impacting the system, a draft of a proposed new policy on use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Regents Award for Excellence in Philanthropy presented to the Arconic Foundation in October.
- The Chancellor’s Report, including an informational report on TCAT Murfreesboro’s partnership with Nissan in an Industrial Electrical Maintenance and Mechatronics training program for students, and an update on a new review of the TBR System Strategic Plan for potential revisions.
