TBR Finance Committee and Committee Chairs to meet June 7

The Tennessee Board of Regents Finance and Business Operations Committee and Committee Chairs are scheduled to meet at the TBR office in Nashville on Tuesday, June 7.

The Finance and Business Operations Committee will begin at 9 a.m. CDT to consider tuition and fee rates. The full board will then vote on the committee’s recommendation during its quarterly board meeting on Friday, June 24.

The Committee Chairs will meet at 10 a.m. to discuss

  • Finance and business issues
  • Proposed policy on firearms on campuses
  • June 23 Audit Committee agenda
  • Update on director’s search at Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Jacksboro
  • Academic affairs issues
  • Personnel and compensation topics
  • Draft June 24 quarterly board meeting agenda

Both meetings are open to the public and the press. The Tennessee Board of Regents is among the nation’s largest higher education systems, governing 46 post-secondary educational institutions. The TBR system includes six universities, 13 community colleges and 27 colleges of applied technology, providing programs across the state to nearly 200,000 students.

The College System of Tennessee is the state’s largest public higher education system, with 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology and the online TN eCampus serving approximately 140,000 students. The system is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
