TBR Schedules Two Committee Meetings for Sept. 12
The Tennessee Board of Regents Committee Chairs and the Ad Hoc Committee on Committees are scheduled to meet at the TBR office in Nashville on Friday, Sept. 12.
The Committee Chairs meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. CDT with a working lunch. The agenda includes:
- Personnel and compensation issues
- Finance and business issues
- Academic policy revisions
- Preview of new TBR.edu website
- Update on directors searches at Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology
- Review draft of September Board meeting agenda
The Ad Hoc Committee on Committees will meet immediately after the Committee Chairs. Agenda items include the review and approval of a charter for the External Affairs Committee and discussion of the ad hoc committee’s next steps.
Both meetings are open to the public and the press. The Tennessee Board of Regents is among the nation’s largest higher education systems, governing 46 post-secondary educational institutions. The TBR system includes six universities, 13 community colleges and 27 colleges of applied technology, providing programs across the state to more than 200,000 students.
The College System of Tennessee is the state’s largest public higher education system, with 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology and the online TN eCampus serving approximately 140,000 students. The system is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
