Our Work
The duty of the Department of Campus Safety and Security is to enhance the System’s mission of student success and workforce development by providing support to our college police departments that are keeping students, faculty, staff, and visitors safe and secure. Each of the College System’s 13 community colleges have dedicated onsite police departments based at their main campuses. These departments also offer police services at the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCATs) based within their service areas.
The Department of Campus Safety and Security was created to coordinate statewide initiatives with the community college police departments and offer systemwide support as they carry out their mission and grow to serve the TCATs.
