Board of Regents Committee Chairs and Audit Committee to meet Nov. 8
The Tennessee Board of Regents committee chairs will meet Nov. 8, 2023, to receive informational reports and preview the agenda for the full board’s next quarterly meeting Dec. 12. The board’s Audit Committee will meet immediately afterward to review various audit matters.
The Board of Regents governs Tennessee's public community colleges and colleges of applied technology.
Chairs of the board’s standing committees will convene at 8:30 a.m. CT, Wednesday, Nov. 8. The Audit Committee will convene immediately after the committee chairs adjourn. The meetings will be held by teleconferencing and will be live-streamed and archived on the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/board/november-2023-committee-chairs-and-audit-committee-meetings, except for a portion of the Audit Committee required by state law to be confidential. The committee chairs meeting is informational, with no votes or official action. The next quarterly meeting of the Board of Regents is scheduled for Dec. 12 at the TBR system office. The committee chairs agenda includes updates on Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT) construction projects, the TBR Center for Apprenticeship, business and finance operations, and personnel and compensation; review of proposed new and revised policies that the board will consider later on marketing, branding and communications, internal audit, and academic retention and readmission to TCATs, and a review the December board agenda.
The Audit Committee agenda, also detailed in the meeting link above, includes informational reporting and updates on audit reports and recommendations, revisions to internal audit plans for fiscal year 2024, and reviews of salaries, staffing and budgets for audit staff.
