Board of Regents Committee Chairs and Audit Committee to meet March 5
The Tennessee Board of Regents committee chairs will meet Tuesday, March 5, 2024, to receive informational reports and preview the agenda for the full board’s next quarterly meeting. The board’s Audit Committee will meet immediately afterward to review and consider various audit matters.
The Board of Regents governs Tennessee's public community colleges and colleges of applied technology.
Chairs of the board’s standing committees will convene at 9 a.m. CT/10 ET, and the Audit Committee will convene immediately after the committee chairs adjourn. The meetings will be held by teleconferencing and will be live-streamed and archived on the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/board/march-2024-committee-chairs-and-audit-committee-meetings, except for a portion of the Audit Committee required by state law to be confidential. The committee chairs meeting is informational, with no votes or official action. The agenda includes but is not limited to an update on legislation relating to the college system; reports on the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology Faculty Leadership Collaborative, non-mandatory fee requests and proposed revisions to two TBR policies on tuition, fees, charges, refunds and payments, and previews of the March 27 board agenda and the system’s 2024 Statewide Outstanding Achievement Recognition events March 27-28.
The next quarterly meeting of the Board of Regents is scheduled for March 27 at the TBR system office. Agendas and materials for that meeting will be posted later at https://www.tbr.edu/board/march-2024-quarterly-board-meeting.
The Audit Committee agenda, also detailed in the meeting link above, includes informational reporting on audits, recommendations and university updates, and action items on revisions to internal audit plans for fiscal year 2024 and internal audit charters.

The College System of Tennessee is the state’s largest public higher education system, with 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology and the online TN eCampus serving approximately 140,000 students. The system is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
