TBR Schedules Three Open Committee Meetings Nov. 15
Three open committee meetings – Audit, Ad-Hoc Committee on Capital Outlay & Capital Maintenance, and Committee Chairs – will be held at the Tennessee Board of Regents central office in Nashville on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
The Audit Committee meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. CST. The agenda includes:
- Consent Agenda
- Proposed revisions to policy related to internal audit
- Proposed revisions to policy related to preventing and reporting fraud, waste and abuse
- Informational reporting
- Review of Comptroller’s Office audit reports
- Review of internal audit reports
- Review of annual audits for the chancellor and presidents
- Review of FY 2012 first quarter expense summary for the chancellor and presidents
- Review of salaries and staffing for system-wide internal audit
- Review of salaries for system auditors
- Review of salaries for Office of System-wide Internal Audit
- Review of internal audit staffing
- Review of audit committee charter
- Discussion of conflict of interest procedures
- Non-public executive session
The Ad-Hoc Committee on Capital Outlay & Capital Maintenance will receive an update on the Capital Outlay Review and address any other business beginning at 10 a.m.
The Committee Chairs meeting will begin at 11 a.m. to discuss the following agenda:
- Opening remarks
- Finance and business issues
- Legislative initiatives and legislative briefings
- Update on Capital Review Project
- Revisions to policy on approval of academic programs, units and modifications
- Board approval of institutional student disciplinary policies
- Update on Tennessee Technology Center director searches at Crump and Murfreesboro
- Review draft of the December Board agenda
All three meetings are open to the public and the press with the exception of the non-public executive session of the Audit Committee. The Tennessee Board of Regents is the nation’s sixth largest higher education system, governing 46 post-secondary educational institutions. The College System of Tennessee is the state’s largest public higher education system, with 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology and the online TN eCampus serving approximately 140,000 students. The system is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
