TBR Schedules Committee Chairs, Audit and Academic Policies & Programs Committee Meetings Nov. 19
Tennessee Board of Regents Committee Chairs, Audit Committee and Academic Policies and Programs Committee meetings are scheduled at the TBR office in Nashville on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The Committee Chairs meeting will begin at noon CST and include the following agenda items:
1. Finance and Business Issues
2. Legislative Initiatives and Legislative Briefings
3. Update on the Director’s Search at Morristown
4. Approval of Proposed Repeal of System-wide and Institutional Rules on Student Residences and Agreements and Residence Hall Visiting Hours
5. Board Committee Structure
6. Communications to Board Members
7. Review draft of the December Board Agenda
The Audit Committee meeting will begin at approximately 2 p.m. The agenda includes:
1. Informational reporting
a. Review of Comptroller’s Office audit reports
b. Review of internal audit reports
c. Review of annual expenses for the chancellor and presidents
d. Overview of foundation policies
2. Review of salaries and staffing for System-wide Internal Audit
a. Review of salaries for system auditors
b. Review of salaries for Office of System-wide Internal Audit
3. Review of revisions to fiscal year 2014 internal audit plans
4. Non-public executive session
The Academic Policies & Programs Committee will meet immediately following to discuss a report on a system approach to student success.
The three meetings are open to the public and the press with the exception of the non-public executive session of the Audit Committee. The Tennessee Board of Regents is among the nation’s largest higher education systems, governing 46 post-secondary educational institutions. The TBR system includes six universities, 13 two-year colleges and 27 colleges of applied technology, providing programs across the state to more than 200,000 students.
The College System of Tennessee is the state’s largest public higher education system, with 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology and the online TN eCampus serving approximately 140,000 students. The system is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
