Motlow State Community College

Motlow State Community College

Motlow State Community College offers a quality education at a great value. Most Motlow students qualify for free tuition scholarships that help keep the cost of attendance affordable, producing a significant return on investment for students and their families.

Student Success and Workforce Development are central to Motlow’s mission. The needs of the citizens in Motlow’s 11-county service area are the College’s top priority. Motlow prepares students for employment, career advancement, entrepreneurship, or university transfer.

Motlow has more dual enrollment students than any college in the state and one of the highest transfer rates from a community college to universities. Equally, Motlow students outperform native university students; a testament to the quality, rigor, and relevancy of the academic programs at Motlow.

Motlow’s original Moore County campus is located on 187 acres in picturesque, historic Moore County, with additional campuses in Smyrna, McMinnville, and Fayetteville, and a growing teaching site in Sparta. The College opened in 1969 with 551 students and set a new enrollment record in 2019 with 7,000.

From 2018 through 2021, Motlow was recognized as the top-performing institution among colleges and universities in the College System of Tennessee.
