Board of Regents to meet July 25 to review & approve criteria for next TCAT Knoxville president

The Tennessee Board of Regents will meet by telephone conference call Wednesday, July 25, to review and approve criteria for the next president of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Knoxville.

The special called meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT and the search criteria is the only item on the agenda.  The meeting is public and anyone wishing to listen may contact Board Secretary Sonja Mason at Sonja.Mason@tbr.edu or 615-366-3927 for call-in information. Once approved by the Board, the criteria will be posted on the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/hr/executivesearches

President Dwight E. Murphy is resigning as president of TCAT Knoxville effective Dec. 31. Murphy has served a dual role as president of both TCAT Knoxville and TCAT Oneida/Huntsville for six years, and is resigning as president of the Knoxville campus only at this time, remaining at the Scott County campuses.

 

The College System of Tennessee is the state’s largest public higher education system, with 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology and the online TN eCampus serving approximately 140,000 students. The system is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
