Angela Richardson

Ms. Angela Richardson was appointed by Governor Bill Lee to serve as a Faculty Regent from 2024 to 2026. She will serve as a non-voting member until June 30, 2025, and then move into the voting faculty regent position from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

She currently serves as the vice president of Academic Affairs and Master Instructor for TCAT-Harriman. During her 23 years at the college, she has also worked as Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness and Master Instructor, teaching in administrative office technology, medical office assistant, and technology foundations programs. In addition to her time at TCAT-Harriman, Ms. Richardson has also worked with the University of Tennessee in Admissions and at Roane State Community College in health science admissions and advising for a total of 34 years in post-secondary education. She is active with the Council on Occupational Education (COE) accrediting agency, serving as team leader and team member for many schools over the past 15 years. Ms. Richardson serves on the Board for the Leadership Roane County Alumni Association, the Free Medical Clinic, Roane County Imagination Library, and Roane State Community College Business and Contemporary Management.

She received her associates degree from Roane State Community College, a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University and a master’s degree from Tennessee Technological University. She has a postgraduate certificate in Community College Leadership and is currently writing the dissertation for her Ed.D. from East Tennessee State University.

Ms. Richardson has been married 37 years to local newspaper editor and publisher, Darrell Richardson. Their children include daughter Emilee Jane (and her husband Jason), and son Parker. She and her husband are also first time grandparents to Eleanor Grace.
