Office of General Counsel

Brian Lapps is the General Counsel for TBR. Brian assumed the role in July 2020 and is responsible for legal matters at TBR.  He began his law career in 1993 at Waller Lansden in Nashville, first as an associate and later as a partner focusing on labor and employment law.  He then served as Deputy General Counsel at The University of Tennessee until Vanderbilt University Medical Center brought him back to Nashville in 2018. 

Lapps earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Vanderbilt University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History at the University of Notre Dame.
