Dr. Tristan Denley, vice chancellor for academic affairs at the Tennessee Board of Regents, has been named one of five U.S. “higher education leaders to watch in 2017 (and beyond)” by the online publication Education Dive.
Denley is the only university system administrator on the list.

Two senior Tennessee Board of Regents administrators – Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Tristan Denley and Walters State Community College Assistant Vice President of Information and Educational Technologies Joe Sargent are among the Top 30 education technology leaders honored by the Center for Digital Education for their efforts to improve education through technology.

On Thursday, Dec. 4, Governor Bill Haslam, who serves as chairman of the Tennessee Board of Regents, and Dr. Tristan Denley, TBR vice chancellor for Academic Affairs, will join President Obama, the First Lady and Vice President Biden at the White House College Opportunity Summit. The Summit will bring together colleges and universities, business leaders, nonprofits and others that are committed to supporting more college opportunities for students across the country.
