Each Spring, the Office of Student Success offers an in-service opportunity focused on a specific support topic in which student affairs staff and interested college personnel may learn more about how to better support students. Join us for TBR’s Annual Student Affairs In-service! This one-day in-person in-service will explore how to support students through partnerships and utlizing state services as we work to deepen opportunities for effective student engagement and support. Attendees will learn initial findings from the National Skills Coalition’s landscape analysis of state services, how three campuses in each region (Southwest Tennessee State Community College, Chattanooga State Community College, and Pellissippi’s State Community College) have engaged in this work and learn how Tennessee Departments of Human Resources, Labor, and Mental Health and Substance Abuse and community agencies are engaging with campuses to support students. The in-service concludes with an opportunity for campuses to develop an action plan to support their work, establish community agency partners, and enhance student support efforts.
