The Finance and Business Operations Committee of the Tennessee Board of Regents will meet via telephone at 2 p.m. CDT on Thursday, April 11.

The committee will discuss background materials and information needs as it begins consideration of tuition and maintenance fee recommendations.

The Tennessee Board of Regents will meet in regular quarterly session on Friday, March 29, at the Embassy Suites at Cool Springs in Franklin, Tenn. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. CDT in the Chestnut Ballroom.

The Board will hear reports from Chancellor John Morgan, presidents and directors, and approve minutes of the Finance and Business Operations Committee, Audit Committee, and Ad Hoc Committee on Capital Outlay and Capital Maintenance.

Action items include:

1. Proposed Program Terminations, Modifications, and New Technical Program Implementations

The Tennessee Board of Regents Finance and Business Operations Committee will meet Wednesday, March 27, at 5 p.m. CT at the Embassy Suites at Cool Springs in Franklin, Tenn.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the Tennessee Board of Regents Finance and Business Operations Committee will not meet on March 12 as previously announced.

The TBR Audit Committee and Committee Chairs will continue to meet in Nashville on Tuesday, March 12, as originally planned, but the Committee Chairs meeting will now meet at 1 p.m.

The Finance and Business Operations Committee of the Tennessee Board of Regents will meet via telephone at 2 p.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 28.

4. Plans for the East Tennessee State University football program,

The regional accrediting body for colleges and universities in the southeastern states has elected Judy Gooch, a former member of the Tennessee Board of Regents, to serve on its Board of Trustees.

The Tennessee Board of Regents unanimously approved Glenda Baskin Glover as the next president for Tennessee State University today.

Glover will assume her leadership role January 2 after the contract for Interim President Portia Shields expires.

The Board met via telephone at 1:30 p.m. to consider TBR Chancellor John Morgan’s recommendation for Glover, who currently serves as dean of the College of Business at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Tennessee Board of Regents Ad Hoc Committee on Capital Outlay and Capital Maintenance will hold its next meeting via telephone at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29.

The agenda includes a review of the project priority list as well as other business.

Glenda Baskin Glover is expected to be named the next president to lead Tennessee State University pending approval by the Tennessee Board of Regents on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

The Board will meet via telephone at 1:30 p.m. CST Nov. 27 to consider TBR Chancellor John Morgan’s recommendation for Glover to replace Portia Shields, who led the campus as interim president for the past two years. Glover currently serves as dean of the College of Business at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.

The search advisory committee for a new president of Tennessee State University narrowed the candidate pool to four finalists today.

They are: • Ainsley Carry, vice president for Student Affairs at Auburn University;• Glenda Glover, dean of the College of Business at Jackson State University;• Bennie Harris, vice president for Development and Alumni Relations at Lipscomb University; and• Candace Campbell Jackson, vice president and chief of staff at The University of Akron.

The Tennessee Board of Regents unanimously approved Chris Whaley as the next president for Roane State Community College and Tony Creecy as the new director at the Tennessee Technology Center in Pulaski.

Whaley will assume his leadership role at the college beginning Nov. 1. Creecy has already been serving as interim director at the TTC and will continue in the permanent position as of Oct. 1.

The recommendation for a new director at the Tennessee Technology Center at Pulaski has been added to the agenda of the special telephonic Tennessee Board of Regents meeting on Monday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. CDT.

Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan will recommend to the Board that Tony Creecy be appointed the next director of the TTC-Pulaski.

The recommendation for a new director at the Tennessee Technology Center at Pulaski has been added to the agenda of the special telephonic Tennessee Board of Regents meeting on Monday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. CDT.

Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan will recommend to the Board that Tony Creecy be appointed the next director of the TTC-Pulaski.

Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan will recommend to the Board that Chris Whaley be appointed the next president to lead Roane State Community College.

Whaley, who currently serves as vice president of student learning and chief academic officer at Roane State, was selected after a nationwide search.

Morgan will ask the Board to vote on his recommendation of Whaley during a special telephonic meeting at 3 p.m. CDT Monday, Oct. 1.
