SkillsUSA names Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology Harriman & Pulaski as National Models of Excellence

SkillsUSA has selected the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology at Harriman and Pulaski as two of its 24 national Models of Excellence for 2023, the highest honor bestowed on SkillsUSA chapters.

SkillsUSA is one of the nation’s largest student organizations for career and technical education. Its Models of Excellence program annually recognizes the exceptional integration of personal, workplace and technical skills into SkillsUSA chapter activities.

Nine TN Colleges of Applied Technology win SkillsUSA Chapters of Excellence designation; Advisor of the Year named

Tennessee SkillsUSA today announced its college Chapters of Excellence for 2020 at nine Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology and the Advisor of the Year.

The five Gold Award Chapters of Excellence winners are the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology at Pulaski, Paris, Chattanooga, Memphis and Knoxville (ranked by order of their scores in the competition).

The four Silver Award Chapters of Excellence are TCATs Hohenwald, Dickson, Harriman and Hartsville.

Chancellor recommends Mike Whitehead as next president of TCAT Pulaski; Board will consider appointment at March 21 meeting

After a four-month search process, Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor Flora W. Tydings is recommending appointment of Mike Whitehead as the next president of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Pulaski. The Board of Regents will consider and act on the recommendation at its next quarterly meeting Thursday, March 21, in Nashville.

TCAT Pulaski Presidential Search Advisory Committee to meet Jan. 10

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Pulaski

The Search Advisory Committee assisting in the search for a new president of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Pulaski will hold its orientation meeting and public forum Jan. 10 at the college’s main campus in Pulaski.

The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT in the college’s main administration and classroom building at 1233 East College Street, Pulaski. The meeting will open with a forum in which members of the public and the college community can express their views about the search and the characteristics the next president should have.
